<div itemprop="description"><br>On January 13, 2021, Mr. Antonios Spanos peacefully passed away at the age of 80 years old at the Jewish General Hospital.<br>He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Pota Spanos (Dimopoulos); his children George (Manuela) Spanos, Vasiliki (Angelo) Bolanis and Helen Spanos; cherished grandchildren, Angelica and Panagiota Tsihlis, Spyridon Bolanis, Antony Spanos; Brother Kosta (Argyro) Spanos and late sister Chrisanthi Spanos; Brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces, nephews and wonderful family and friends.<br>Antonios was born in the small village of Agios Konstantinos, Lakonia, Greece in 1940. After finishing his military duty in Greece, he immigrated to Montreal, Canada where he married the love of his life Pota on June 11, 1966. He was very proud and honored to become a Canadian citizen. He will be remembered for his good heart, generous soul, and his infectious laughter. Antonios was an amazing father/grandfather for his children and grandchildren. He was an avid gardener and took great pride in his vegetable garden. He loved reading, listening to music, entertaining and rooting for his favorite soccer team AEK.<br>The Funeral wake will take place at Armstrong by appointment only due to COVID restrictions, please contact the family for more details. <br><br>In lieu of flower, the family would deeply appreciate a donation to JGH Antonios Spanos Memorial fund for the division of Geriatrics, please consult the donation tab of this memorial page to do a online donation or or by calling 514-340-8251.
