Bong Kee Lum
March 1, 1935 - June 26, 2018
On Tuesday June 26, 2018, Bong Kee Lum passed away peacefully at the age of 83. He is sadly missed by his wife of 52 years Lai Sheung Wong, and his children Janet, Kenneth, and Connie. He is remembered with love by his nieces and nephew, Kum Fong, Siu Fong, Chu Ying, Sao Fong, Li Fong, and Chi Fong, children of his beloved sister Mei Wen Lam, also deceased. Sympathies are given by the Wong family, Lai Gheun, Chiu Hon, Lai Mei and Kit Foo.
Mr Lum took pride in taking care of his NDG home throughout the years, gardening in summer and shovelling in winter. Hailing from a small village in China, he remained humble in his esteem of life in Canada, enjoying the relationships he made with kinfolk and friends from other cultures.
Services will be held at Armstrong-Rideau Funeral Home, 1640 Cote-Vertu Ouest, Ville-St-Laurent. Visitation will be on Sunday July 8, from 2 pm to 7 pm. The eulogy will be held on Monday, July 9, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Following the service, a procession will head to Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery for the interment. Afterwards, all guests are welcome to join the Lum family for a memorial wake.
The families would like to express their deep gratitude for the kindness and care of the Mount Sinai medical staff and the NDG CLSC home care team. Rather than flowers, donations to Mount Sinai Hospital would be appreciated.
