<div itemprop="description">Edward Cassini of Montreal, Quebec passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on Wednesday, July 14. 2021. He was 90 years old. Edward is survived by his loving wife Olga, son Brian (Elizabeth Delisle), daughter Janet (Mario Proulx), grandchildren Stephanie, Meghan and Corey Scrimgeour and Connor Cassini. He also has four greatgrandchildren. His brother Donald Cassini predeceased him in 2011. <br> <br>Edward was born in Montreal, Quebec on December 24, 1930, to much-loved parents Albert and Alice Cassini. In 1954 he married his beloved wife, Olga Skvarenina. Edward studied Engineering at McGill University and spent his entire career with Donolo Construction of Montreal starting out as a project Manager and retiring from the firm as President. He left his mark on many significant buildings and infrastructure projects throughout Montreal and beyond. <br> <br>Edward loved his cottage on lake Saint Francis at Pte. LeBlanc, St. Anicet, Quebec that they built in 1962. He enjoyed duck hunting and fishing as well as swimming, waterskiing and boating with his family every summer. Edward was also an avid skier, a sport that continues to be enjoyed by his family to this day. A tireless worker and loving family man, Ed will be greatly missed and forever loved. <br> <br>Arrangements entrusted to Armstrong-Rideau Funeral Home, 1640 Côte-Vertu, Ville St. Laurent, Qc, 514-331-1104. <br> <br>Visiting hours are Tuesday, July 20th from 11:30 am – 1:30pm, followed by a funeral mass at 1:30pm. Burial at Mount-Royal Cemetery (1297, chemin de la Forêt, Outremont, H2V 2P9), at 3:00pm. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers you may wish to make a donation to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation.</div>
