At 5, Margaret emigrated from Czechoslovakia with her mother Alsbeta. When they touched shore, her father Imro was there to meet them. They started life together in Montreal.

Margo’s fondest memories were as a teenager at summer camp in St. Agathe, double dating with best friend Mamie and time spent at the Muskoka cottage with her family – daughters Ardyth and Stephanie, grandsons Jonathan and Drew, “baby” brother Henry and his wife Irene.

In her younger years, Margo won numerous trophies for duck pin bowling. She enjoyed playing social bridge well into her 80’s. A keen TV sports spectator, she followed football, baseball and golf adding her own feisty commentary. Margo was transported by novels.

She last traveled in 2010 to celebrate Jonathan and Courtney’s wedding in Niagara Falls. Three years later, she proudly became a great-grandmother to Emily.

Margo’s life was defined by tenacity and humour. She was a wonderful big sister, mother and grandmother. Her family will miss her contagious laughter and the kisses she blew across the room or over the miles by telephone.

Left with cherished memories are Henry (Irene), Ardyth (Brian), Stephanie, Jonathan (Courtney), Drew and all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers consider a donation to Covenant House.

Given Covid, only family will gather at the graveside.
